August 09 20152015-08-09A dining hall where a man in an orange-saffron turban and matching orange shawl, with long dark hair and a long rudraksha mala, stands at a steel table serving food from a metal bowl to seated men. The seated men wear white shirts and lanyard badges, and one wears a pink shirt; a standing man in a white shirt and shoes holds a bowl nearby. Plates of rice, flatbread and curry sit on the table, and a crowd of people in white and light clothing stands in the background among pillars. The scene suggests annadan, a communal meal service. The page links the event to a convention at St. Peter's engineering college; the photo itself shows a meal service.2006-12-15A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange draped clothing with a rudraksha mala around the neck, bare-chested in part, leaning forward to rest a hand on the head of a young boy in a checked shirt who kneels on a red cloth. Beside them a gilded lion-faced throne armrest is visible, and garlands of orange and yellow flowers hang at left. Behind, a woman in white ritual dress touches the arm of a boy in a white shirt, and other people in white and cream clothing stand in a room with red curtains and a floor fan. The seated figure has distinctive ceremonial cues, so this is a person in person, while the boy receives a blessing-like touch.2013-10-03Night-time photo of a seated man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala and gold bracelets, with a white vertical tilak on his forehead, placing his right hand on the head of a young boy in an orange garment with silver anklets and a bracelet. The boy holds a small paper slip and a pink packet. A woman in an orange-red shawl and hoop earrings watches at right, and a blue and maroon cloth backdrop hangs behind. A red-upholstered seat and a large gold ornamental object sit in the foreground, with a camera operator visible in the background. Appears to be a blessing or darshan moment.2015-08-31A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-red ochre garment and a long gold bead necklace, extends his right hand to touch the forehead of a kneeling devotee. He has white vertical tilak and a red dot on his forehead. The devotee, with grey hair, wears a white shirt and an orange-red shawl with printed text, and presses his palms together in anjali mudra. Behind them stands a silver staff topped with a finial, a black cobra-shaped rod, and a golden ornamental seat, with red curtains behind. A partially visible peacock-feather fan appears at lower left. The gesture suggests a blessing or initiation. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure, identified by long swept-back hair, ochre robes, gold beaded necklace and white tilak cues.2014-07-27July 02 20152015-07-02July 17 20152015-07-17A seated man in orange and saffron robes, with a white tilak on his forehead, long swept-back hair, rudraksha and gold-coloured beaded necklaces, and gold bangles, lays his right hand on the head of a young boy standing in front of him. The boy wears a white blindfold-style cloth over his eyes, a blue and red t-shirt, and a red thread around his neck. A woman in a white sari with an orange border and a white tilak stands beside the boy, holding his arm, with a rudraksha mala around her neck. The seated figure sits on a red-cushioned throne with ornate gold carvings in the foreground. Behind them, dim figures in white clothing sit in a hall with a striped wall. Three people are visible in the foreground, with a few more in the background.2015-08-31October 21 20152015-10-21 +1 copiesJuly 27 20142014-07-27September 19 20132013-09-19A thatched-roof hall with woven palm-leaf ceiling.
