A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, wearing a saffron-orange robe, with his hands pressed together in prayer. Swamiji (probable) is the central figure on the throne, identified by his long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala. Before the throne, a shaved-headed priest in a white dhoti with a gold necklace kneels with palms joined. A woman in a white sari sits at the left edge, and a bald man and other devotees sit in the lower foreground. A brass plate holds fruit and flowers on a golden stand beside the throne, and a pink flower garland lies on the floor near the feet. A pada puja is a ritual where devotees honour and wash the feet of a guru.2010-10-19 +1 copiesAugust 15 20092009-08-15A seated man in a saffron-orange robe with long swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala sits with palms pressed together in namaskar on an ornate gold-carved throne with red velvet upholstery, a Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues: long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala. Before him, a gold-trimmed wooden table holds fruit and flowers. In the foreground, a shaven-headed priest in white dhoti with a red shawl and a woman in a white sari with a red-bordered cloth and pendant pray with folded hands beside a brass plate of offerings and flower garlands, and a man in white stands by. Several seated devotees sit at lower right. A dark blue curtain hangs behind the stage and a purple bird logo appears at upper left, indicating a ritual pada puja offering.2010-10-19August 13 20092009-08-13A seated man in an orange saffron robe and a white flower garland with red blossoms sits on an ornate gilded throne with a red cushioned back, hands folded in prayer with eyes closed. A silver-rimmed tray of flowers and offerings sits on a gold-and-red table before him, and a devotee in white bows to it. Around him, several people sit on the floor in white, blue and yellow clothing, including a woman in white and a woman in a blue-striped top. A table to the left holds fruit, bottled water and a plate. Visible behind is a draped cloth backdrop and a red-framed doorway.2009-12-08A seated man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala and long swept-back hair sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, eyes closed, hands resting in his lap. Swamiji (probable): the appearance cues of long hair, orange clothing, rudraksha mala and gold throne fit the page's claim, though the face is not identifiable from the image. Before him, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes with a white tilak and gold chain cups his hands in ritual gesture beside silver plates holding pink flowers and offerings. A woman in white and red sari and orange blouse sits nearby with a kumkum-marked forehead, and other attendees in orange and white sit at the lower edge. On a wooden side table rests a plate of fruit and flowers, and at right a gilded image is visible on the wall.2010-10-26August 09 20092009-08-09A photograph of a padapuja ritual in an ornate hall with orange-painted walls. A man seated on a gold-and-red throne wears an orange robe and a rudraksha mala, his bare feet resting on a wooden footstool, eyes closed. In front of him, devotees in white and pale-yellow clothing sit with palms pressed together; one woman wears a yellow shawl. A woman in blue and a priest in white kneel at brass trays holding flowers, fruit and lamps. Another gold throne stands empty at left, and figures in white stand in the open doorway behind.2010-09-22
