December 27 20082008-12-27 +1 copiesDecember 31 20082008-12-31A photograph of a man in saffron-orange robes with gold borders standing barefoot beside a large banyan tree, eyes closed, forehead and cheek resting against one of its thick aerial roots. He wears a golden turban, a long white and red flower garland, and has long dark hair falling behind him. A yellow marigold garland is draped on the tree trunk to the left, and a small rangoli-style pattern of white and colored powder lies on the ground at his feet. The setting is an outdoor courtyard with a white wall and a tall white pole behind. The figure appears to be a person by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, a golden turban, saffron clothing and a flower garland, while the page notes his presence at this event.2008-12-27December 31 20082008-12-31A photograph of a large banyan tree with thick grey trunks, dangling aerial roots and orange daubs of paint on its bark, set in a dappled outdoor clearing. A single person in a saffron-orange garment stands in profile at the left of the tree, face pressed close to the trunk, wearing a long white and red flower garland with green leaves draped over the shoulders and gold bangles on the wrist. Sunlight falls across bare ground marked with faint white kolam-style designs at the lower left. Trees and palms are visible in the background.2006-12-29Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots and yellow marigold garlands wrapped around its trunk. A person in an orange saffron wrap with long dark hair and a layered green, yellow and red flower garland stands barefoot with palms pressed together in namaskar, facing the tree. On the paved ground nearby, a white cloth-covered seat holds a round orange and black patterned cushion, and a small brass plate with camphor or offerings sits on a wooden stand beside a white fluffy mound. Scattered petals and white kolam-style floor lines surround the area.2007-12-22December 23 20082008-12-23 +1 copiesMarch 02 20112011-03-02March 02 20112011-03-02December 26 20082008-12-26June 12 20102010-06-12A person in an orange robe stands at the base of a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and trunks, leaning in with head bowed and hand resting against the bark. A garland of yellow, red and white flowers hangs from a branch beside them, and a white flower garland is draped around the person's neck.
