A photograph of a homa fire ritual in progress. A tall flame rises from a foil-covered platform decorated with yellow and red marigolds, with a round reddish offering or ghee-coated ball at its centre. Around it are brass vessels, a copper kalasha-style pot, bowls of dried herbs, a wooden ladle, and a tin of Amul ghee. Two seated devotees are partly visible at the top: one in a checked shirt and jeans, the other in an orange-and-red patterned garment with bangles. A small framed picture of a deity sits at the upper left. A homa in Ohio per page; no a person is visible in frame.2015-05-08June 05 20122012-06-05June 05 20122012-06-05Close view of a ritual fire burning tall and bright above a round metal tray of flower garlands, pink and white petals and red blooms.
