Two saffron-robed figures sit on stone steps; the central one wears orange clothing and a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, and the figure to the right in orange wears a beaded mala. Around them white-clad priests stand and sit, and a crowd of devotees, mostly women in saris with flowers in their hair and men in white dhotis, sits on the steps and ground in front, some with hands folded.2011-09-09Photo 11682242 +1 copiesOutdoor photo at dusk of a seated group on stone steps and paved ground in front of an old temple with a pink-washed wall, carved gateway and a large ornate iron gate. On the steps, a man in saffron robes sits cross-legged with hands raised in teaching gesture, and another saffron-clad man stands at the top of the steps near the gate. A shaved-headed man in saffron with a bare upper body and sacred thread sits to the right, and white-clad men stand nearby. Around them, many devotees in white and colourful saris and salwar, some with white flowers in their hair, sit on the ground listening. In the foreground, a man in white with a camera on his shoulder films the gathering. Near the centre, a group in white dhotis and saffron-orange robes sits with palms pressed together in namaskar on a patterned cloth. A figure with long dark hair, a saffron-orange garment and beaded necklaces sits in the front of the group, with other saffron-clad sannyasis beside him. Devotees in white and yellow sit or stand around the courtyard, many with hands folded in prayer. The scene suggests a devotional gathering at a temple precinct.2010-01-08September 19 20162016-09-19A temple interior at night where a seated group in white ritual clothes faces a figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a beaded necklace, positioned before a white-draped altar.
