Photograph of a seated musical performance inside a hall with a white floor mat and yellow floor markings. In the foreground, a musician in a white shirt and white dhoti sits on a mat, seen from behind, while a man at left plays a long wind instrument and another plays a barrel drum. Behind them, two drummers in white shirts play dholak-style drums on white mats. Beyond, rows of seated audience members in white clothes and bright saris or tops, including a child in yellow, listen attentively.

Musicians sit on red stone steps in white ritual dress. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and white dhoti plays a long dark wind instrument, a nadaswaram, with a yellow cord hanging from it. Beside him a second man in white holds a drum with a red covering and metal rims, a melam-style percussion drum. Behind them, seated women and men wear white saris and white garments, with hands folded in prayer, and brass vessels and a lamp sit on the steps. The setting appears to be a riverside ghat with a metal railing.

Outdoor scene on red stone steps. A man in the foreground wearing a white shirt, white dhoti with a red border and a yellow-cord necklace plays a long dark wooden shehnai-style wind instrument with a flared bell. Beside him a younger man in white clothes with a yellow-cord necklace holds a red-and-silver wrapped drum called a mridangam or thavil. Behind them, several people in white dhotis and shirts sit on the steps, one with hands folded in prayer, and a metal railing with red and orange cloth stands at left. The attire suggests a ritual musical performance.

Several young men sit cross-legged playing traditional instruments: a long wooden nadaswaram-style pipe, a bronze and skin drum held horizontally with a cloth-draped drum, and hand drums. Most wear white shirts and white dhotis, one wears a brown patterned shirt, and one wears an orange-and-white shawl. Behind them, a seated man in a white dhoti and orange shawl sits on a leather chair near audio equipment. Spectators stand at the right edge. Other musicians' drums lie in the foreground.
