A large banner hangs above an arched gateway, with a portrait printed on it and text in Kannada script. Several people in light clothing stand or walk near the gate, and flags in blue and white hang from poles at the right side. Paved ground, trees and a low wall surround the scene.2007-05-13Outdoor photo of a decorated entrance pavilion labelled NITHYANANDAM in a colourful striped and patterned banner arch, with a large portrait of a smiling bearded man in orange and a side portrait of a smiling woman in orange, flanked by banana leaves and striped red-and-white walls. A central figure with long dark hair wears an orange robe and carries a walking stick as he steps down a concrete staircase; the possibly Swamiji-like figure shows distinctive long swept hair and saffron clothing, so this is a probable identification. Around him are people in white dhotis and kurtas with orange shawls, a woman in a green sari, and a woman in a pink sari. Multicoloured umbrellas and a circular portrait above the arch frame the scene.2007-02-15A photograph of an indoor eye-check camp in a plain whitewashed room. On the left, a long blue-draped table holds a water bottle, glasses and flowers, with three men in white shirts and a man in a checked shirt seated behind it. A standing man in a white shirt and an older seated woman face a woman in a yellow-green saree who hands over a small item. A portrait printed on a banner shows a figure with long hair in orange-saffron robes, labelled by a printed caption. To the right, an eye-testing machine stands beside a wall socket. The banners read Nithyananda Youth Foundation and Eye Checkup to Students, with a Vasan Eye Care sponsor logo.A street procession passes under an ornate multi-tiered temple gopuram gateway painted in bright blue, pink and yellow with sculpted figures. On the right, a wooden ratha float carrying a decorated deity murti in red and pink garments with a crown and garlands stands beside a uniformed police officer in khaki. Marchers in white dhotis and orange-saffron flags walk behind a large framed portrait of a smiling woman carried on a board. A second uniformed officer stands in the road directing traffic. Printed sign panels on the float show Tamil script.
