January 10 20182018-01-10 +1 copiesA photograph of a figure in a rust-orange wrap with a long rudraksha mala and hair swept into a bun, reaching out to press their palm onto the bald head of a smiling man in a white shirt with a rudraksha mala. Both have white forehead marks. Behind them, other people in white clothes stand in a hall with cream walls and a wooden door frame. The bun-haired figure has rudraksha beads, orange-gold clothing and an ornate-looking ceremonial look, matching cues the page associates with a person, so the figure is described as a person performing a blessing on a disciple. Two people are visible in front, with others partially visible behind.2013-12-07January 29 20132013-01-29A photograph of a satsang in a hall with framed panels on the wall behind. A man in a saffron-orange turban and bare torso, wearing a gold-toned ornate necklace of beads and a saffron-and-yellow shawl, smiles while placing his hand on the forehead of a seated man in a white shirt with a red-orange scarf printed with text. The seated man has his eyes lowered and his head bowed. Other seated devotees and onlookers in white and light clothing fill the background. The orange-clad man is an appearance-based candidate for a person, but the cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity from appearance alone; he is described by his role as the one giving blessing. Behind them, a lit banner and framed displays are visible.2015-07-03A ritual blessing scene. A man in a red-orange turban and saffron-orange sannyasi wrap, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, places his right palm on the forehead of a seated man in a white kurta with a red-and-white sacred shawl. The blessed man has white paste on his forehead and presses his palms together at his chest. Behind them, a woman in a red sari with white beaded malas sits, and a figure in red and white stands near a bouquet of pink flowers. Soft warm lighting with blurred background figures and a deity image.2015-09-14Photograph of an indoor satsang setting. A man in a red-orange turban, bare-chested under a saffron-and-gold shawl with a gold-threaded wrap and multiple rudraksha malas and gold beaded necklaces, sits smiling broadly in a leather armchair. He is touched on the forehead by a man in a white shirt with an orange-and-red printed shawl and a purple beaded bracelet, who is kneeling and reaching up to him. Seated devotees and onlookers in the background wear white and sarees. The appearance suggests a person, seated in a carved leather chair being blessed by a devotee, and his role is the honoured teacher.2015-07-03February 09 20122012-02-09Photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor hall with cream walls and a gold-patterned backdrop. A woman in a maroon-red garment with a gold hair ornament and a dark rudraksha-style necklace reaches up and presses her palm to the forehead of a smiling man in a white kurta with a red-orange shawl and a lanyard, who holds his hands raised in namaste-like gesture. Another person in white stands behind them. Ritual blessing. The younger man bows forward with palms pressed together in namaste. Other people in white and light clothing stand blurred in the background against a pale pink wall with hanging decorative streamers. The turbaned man appears to be giving a blessing, a head-touching gesture of blessing shown in a temple-style setting.2012-04-15
