In the foreground, a figure seen from behind with long dark matted hair and an orange-red shawl raises a lit oil lamp with a multi-flame brass lamp toward the seated central figure. Seated on an ornate gold throne with a cobra-hood canopy, a man in a red-orange robe and matching turban wears a white and orange flower garland and holds a staff, with a small white side table holding vessels beside him. The throne sits on a red cushion before a deep red curtain, and the gold-carved panel at left frames the scene. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears a turban, saffron-orange robes and a floral garland on a ceremonial throne, consistent with a depiction of the presiding spiritual leader receiving aarti.2017-08-06August 04 20172017-08-04A seated man in a rust-red robe sits on an ornate gold throne carved with scrolls and a lion-faced crest, with a leopard-print cushion beneath him.
