Two priests sit at left, one bare-chested in a red dhoti with a red garland, the other speaking into a microphone while gesturing. In the foreground a bare-backed priest in a yellow-green cloth pours or offers grains from a brass plate onto the brick edge of the pit. Brass oil lamps, kalasha pots and pink-patterned vessels surround the shrine. Metal barricades and onlookers in orange appear in the background. Flames rise from a brick-lined fire pit where a priest in white dhoti with a striped border and a bare chest, wearing a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, feeds the fire with his hand. Another priest in white stands behind, holding a ladle-like vessel with a lit oil lamp. To the right, a silver ornate peetha throne is decorated with yellow and red marigold garlands and flower petals, with brass vessels and a small brass lamp nearby. Smoke drifts across the scene. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable from appearance.2018-01-06July 16 20152015-07-16A night homa at an open-air ritual site: a large fire blazes in a stone fire pit surrounded by brass bowls, trays of flowers, fruit and coconut offerings. Seated in the foreground, a priest in a white dhoti and a shawl over his shoulders sits beside a bearded officiant wearing orange clothing, red and orange garlands and a rudraksha mala, who holds a ritual vessel. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in white and saffron-coloured clothes fill the courtyard. On the left, a golden throne with a red cushion holds a framed portrait of a figure in orange clothing and red garlands; the portrait is a depiction and no appearance-based identification is made. Marigold garlands decorate the foreground.2016-04-03April 14 20182018-04-14July 16 20152015-07-16July 17 20132013-07-17A seated priest in saffron-orange robes performs a homa at a brick fire pit, feeding flames with a long stick held in his right hand. Tall yellow-orange flames rise from the bricks, which are dusted with turmeric-yellow powder and marked with red and white patterns. Around him on the floor are brass plates of red flower petals, a bowl of yellow flower garlands, a small brass kalasha and an oil lamp, with a patterned mat and a sitting person's bare feet at the left edge. The scene is dimly lit by the fire. +1 copies
