Two saffron-robed figures lead in front: the left one is shaven-headed with a wrapped orange shawl, rudraksha mala and bangles; the central one wears a red-orange robe, a long rudraksha mala, and a thick garland of red and yellow flowers, walking with a slight smile. Behind them a man in white dhoti and a woman in dark sari stand with hands folded in greeting, and a man in a checked shirt is at the right edge. Context suggests a pada puja visit to a devotee's house, but no ritual action is visible.2014-06-26May 20 20122012-05-20 +1 copiesA photograph of several men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls walking together through a dimly lit stone temple corridor, holding hands in a line. The man second from left has long swept-back dark hair, a white tilak on his forehead, a gold pendant on a chain and gold necklaces, and a red-orange wrap draped over his shoulder. Beside him stands an older bald man with a rudraksha mala and gold pendant, a bald man in orange at the far right wears a rudraksha mala, and uniformed police officers stand at the right edge. Behind them, women in dark saris and men in white and orange clothing follow along a pillared corridor. The presence of a long-haired man in ornate saffron with gold necklaces is a probable Swamiji (probable) appearance-based candidate walking in procession.2012-05-20 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20122012-01-02June 22 20142014-06-22 +1 copiesNight-time outdoor procession at a devotee's house. A young man in the foreground wears an orange saffron wrap, a thick necklace of large yellow beads, a white flower garland and rudraksha armbands, looking to the side. Behind him, devotees in orange and white robes walk past; one older man in white holds a hand out gesturing, and a woman in a white sari with dark border carries a small plate of offerings. A green-walled building and dim street lights frame the scene.2014-06-26A night street procession in a busy Indian town, with a row of devotees walking along a paved road lit by shop lights. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange silk dhoti and shawl wears layered rudraksha malas and a gold-toned necklace, with a red-orange tilak on his forehead, and walks barefoot-to-sandal in front of the group. Around him, men and women in saffron and white clothing, some with rudraksha malas and gold borders on white dhotis, walk closely together. On the right, a man in white with a striped kurta holds a red cloth. Four to five people are prominent, with more visible behind.2012-04-11Night outdoor photo under a white and red striped canopy at an ashram-style courtyard. A central figure in a rust-red and gold-bordered dhoti-style robe wears a large red flower garland and carries a white flower offering. Around him, several men in similar rust and saffron robes with gold borders and rudraksha malas stand with him, while a girl in orange and a girl in teal and pink stand nearby. Men in white dhotis and red shawls and a man in a pink shirt stand among the crowd, and some people hold their hands together in greeting. Lights glow on the building behind.2015-05-29Night street procession in a narrow town lane lit by a streetlamp, with shop signs and buildings behind. A group of saffron and maroon robed men and women walk together. At the centre, a man in a red turban and maroon robe with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace and a gold pendant walks beside an older man in an orange shawl with black and white beaded malas and a white forehead marking. Other participants wear maroon or orange robes, gold-bordered cloth, garlands and white vibhuti tripundra markings. A person at the left edge wears white dhoti-style clothing with an orange bag. Several onlookers stand in the background.2015-09-16A nighttime photograph inside a open tent with scaffolding and string lights overhead. A procession moves across a sandy ground: in the centre a man in a saffron-orange robe with gold borders and a long red flower garland walks holding a brass kalasha-style vessel with green leaves, while beside him two shaved-headed men in red-brown robes with gold borders and rudraksha malas carry items. On the far right a man in white dhoti with gold border and a white-marked forehead and rudraksha mala walks. Behind them a crowd of devotees, including women in saris and children, watches.2015-05-29
