A shaved-headed priest in orange dhoti and orange shawl, with white tilak and arm bands, leans forward to hold a silver plate toward a second person. That second person wears a brown silk dhoti with gold border, a red, white and yellow garland, gold necklaces, bangles, and a red-and-white tilak. A figure in orange and saffron robes with gold-toned necklaces and bangles pulls a rope to raise an orange flag, face lifted upward. Coconut palms and a deep blue evening sky frame the scene. Two other robed figures in orange stand nearby, one looking up, and a bald devotee in the foreground is partly visible.2011-11-29Outdoor evening ceremony beside a large carved wooden or copper-toned kalasha-style vessel draped with yellow and pink flower garlands. A bald man in saffron-orange robes with a gold-bordered shawl holds a gold ceremonial plate with both hands toward the vessel. Behind him a second man in a yellow dhoti with a gold border and a red tilak on his forehead stands watching. Palm trees and a dark night sky form the backdrop, with a white rope on the right side. Possible a person candidate, but the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm. Copyright and source text overlays are present in the lower right corner.2010-12-20Evening photograph of a dhvajarohanam flag-hoisting at a temple. Coconut palms frame the scene, with a few seated devotees in white and orange at the edge.2011-11-29March 11 20132013-03-11July 22 20132013-07-22Outdoor temple ritual under palm trees beside an ornate copper-brown kalasha-topped vessel on a stepped base, draped with white jasmine-type garlands and red-orange ribbons. A standing young man in a rust-orange cloth wears a long red and white flower garland, a beaded rudraksha-style necklace, and holds a blue-and-orange parasol overhead. Beside him a bare-chested older priest with a shaved head and white-and-ochre sacred thread holds a metal vessel and a brass plate of offerings. Another attendant in orange cloth kneels at the base, and a few onlookers stand at the left edge. The scene resembles an abhishekam or puja with a parasol-held peetha procession.2013-08-20Outdoor evening scene at dusk with a tall copper-and-wood ratha or chariot-like structure topped with a mango-leaf canopy and white flower garlands. A man with bare upper body and a saffron-orange dhoti pulls an orange rope tied to the structure, his right arm raised.
