Outdoor photograph of a Bhoomi Puja on a grassy, bushy hillside. A central man with long swept-back dark hair, a tilak on his forehead, rudraksha mala and an orange saffron robe holds a silver kalasha-style lamp with a flame in one hand and a silver bell in the other, smiling. To the left, a shaven-headed priest in orange robes bends toward a tray of offerings. Behind them, several women in white dhotis with orange shawls stand with hands folded in prayer and one holds a small book, while another woman in white and orange stands at right. Dry grass and trees fill the background under an overcast sky.2008-04-01August 09 20152015-08-09Close profile photograph of a man with long black hair pulled back into a plait, wearing an orange sleeveless top and an orange shawl draped over the shoulders. A red tilak mark is on his forehead. He looks off to the side against an ornate gold repoussé background with floral and figural relief work. Appearance does not clearly establish identity, so he is described only as a devotee-like figure with ritual dress.2009-12-18December 27 20092009-12-27December 31 20092009-12-31December 27 20092009-12-27December 30 20082008-12-30August 09 20152015-08-09October 10 20152015-10-10April 10 20142014-04-10A photograph of a man seated on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head armrests and a deep magenta velvet cushion. He wears an orange-saffron garment draped over one shoulder, a long multi-strand gold and beaded necklace, bead bracelets on the upper arms and wrists, and a red bindi on his forehead. His long, dark curly hair falls past his shoulders. He holds a small ceremonial handheld bell in his raised right hand and smiles toward the left, with a gold-capped staff resting near the lion. The backdrop is a pale blue wall with a dark red curtain at left. Appearance-based probable Swamiji: a seated figure in saffron with long hair, gold necklace and ornate throne cues. No other people are visible.2012-04-14November 26 20112011-11-26 +1 copies
