A photo of a naming or blessing moment on a stage with a red-and-gold throne backdrop and a blue curtain. A seated long-haired man in orange and red robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold-toned ornament holds a blue-wrapped infant, while a woman in a green-and-cream sari with a black mala and gold bangles leans in to support the baby. Behind them, a man in white with a red-and-gold scarf and a younger man in orange stand nearby, and a woman in orange is at the right edge. A large gilt-framed deity mural and flowers decorate the background. Probable Swamiji (long swept-back hair, orange robes, rudraksha mala) is seated in the centre, blessing the child.2008-09-30July 11 20092009-07-11July 07 20092009-07-07A photograph of a ceremonial moment in an ornate golden-throne setting decorated with floral garlands. A man with long, swept-back dark hair in an orange saffron robe and a multicoloured flower garland stands and reaches toward a toddler in a red-and-gold outfit held by a woman in a purple sari with floral borders. The toddler holds a white cloth or tray, and a second woman in orange stands at the left. Another man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold necklace stands at far left. Behind them are a gilded panel with a deity murti and flower garlands along the wall. The man in saffron shows the qualifying cues of long hair, saffron robe and garland, so he is described as Swamiji (probable), a guru blessing the child during a ritual such as padapuja or a blessing ceremony.2009-12-24A photograph inside a bright white room at a home visit. A figure with long black hair, wearing an orange saffron top and a red floral garland, sits on a red cushioned seat with orange cloth, reaching to hold a newborn baby wrapped in white. Beside them a woman in a maroon and gold floral sari with a long braid bends forward, and a man in white shirt stands close. A cameraman in orange shirt films, and several onlookers in white and patterned saris and salwar stand along the right. A gold-framed mirror edge and a small brass object sit on the left.2010-01-09April 17 20172017-04-17A photograph of a blessing moment indoors against a plain white curtain. On the right, a long-haired figure in an orange sleeveless garment leans forward, hands extended over a swaddled infant in cream cloth and a red wrap held by a woman in a peach-and-cream sari. A man in a white shirt on the left presses his palms together in greeting, and another person's hand appears at the top left. A gold-embroidered chair edge is visible at the upper right. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), identified by the long swept-back hair and orange robe, seated and blessing the child. The woman wears a thin black beaded necklace and gold bangles.2010-01-11 +1 copiesJanuary 31 20092009-01-31A photograph of an indoor ritual blessing beside a floral backdrop of orange, red and yellow flowers and a gold ornate chair. A long-haired man in an orange saffron garment, wearing a white and multicoloured flower garland, smiles and holds a brass object over a baby wrapped in white and cream cloth. The baby wears a gold-coloured headpiece. A woman in a red blouse and white sari with a black braid and earrings holds the baby, and a man in a white shirt with a black rudraksha-style mala looks on from the left.
