A photograph of a ceremonial darshan on a stage. A seated man in a red-orange robe, with a rudraksha mala draped over his chest and a white vibhuti line on his forehead, raises one hand and rests it on the head of a bare-chested man whose eyes are covered with a white cloth. The seated man sits on an ornate silver throne with leopard-print cushions and a lion-head armrest. Beside them, a man in a white dhoti and a red-and-gold-bordered shawl supports the blindfolded devotee. A microphone stands at the right edge of the frame.2018-05-06May 13 20182018-05-13October 01 20172017-10-01 +1 copiesA seated man in orange-red robes and a long rudraksha mala, with long hair and a white forehead band, places his right hand on the head of a bare-chested devotee in a white dhoti whose eyes are covered by a white cloth. Behind the throne is an ornate silver carved backrest, and two leopard-print cushions and carved lion-head armrests frame the seat. A second attendant with a red headband and white dhoti stands at left, supporting the devotee. A microphone stands at right. The seated figure's distinctive long hair, saffron-orange robes and rudraksha mala match the a person presentation cues, but the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm identity, so the figure is described by role as the seated teacher giving blessing to a devotee.2018-05-06A seated man in rust-orange robes, with a white-and-pink flower garland, a gold necklace and a red tilak on his forehead, smiles as he extends his hand toward a silver tray. Behind him stands an ornate silver throne with carved swans and floral motifs against a red backdrop. In front, a bald man in white dhoti and shawl with a yellow border kneels and bows, wearing a rudraksha mala. To the left, an attendant in a yellow-trimmed garment and beaded mala holds a tray of offerings. The scene suggests a ceremonial initiation at the throne.2017-11-17A ritual initiation on a stage before a red curtain.
