Several men bare-chested in white dhotis with orange borders stand and sit around a large gold throne with a red cushion at the back. On the throne a seated figure in orange-saffron robes with long dark hair and a gold necklace is attended by women in orange saris and dhotied attendants. Brass pots, oil lamps and a tall flame-lit setup are visible; smoke drifts through the scene. Clearly visible people number around fifteen to twenty.2017-05-26May 26 20172017-05-26A ritual homa or yagna scene under a white tent with orange and maroon cloth. Smoke rises from a fire pit in the centre, where a woman in a white sari kneels and offers something into the flames. Several priests in white dhotis with gold borders attend the fire, one bending low over a tray of fruit and flowers. A man on the right wears an orange cloth and a rudraksha mala. A seated man on the right in a red-brown robe with a gold necklace and garland, holding a white flower, sits on a golden throne with a large gold backrest; he has long swept-back hair and a tilak, and appearance suggests a person in the central seat, presented in an in-person ritual setting. Nearby, a man in a red turban and rudraksha mala kneels beside offering baskets of fruit, flowers and kalasha-style vessels. Crowded devotees stand behind in orange and white clothing.2017-05-26December 05 20162016-12-05May 25 20172017-05-25Night-time fire ritual under an open-sided metal-roofed pavilion, with smoke rising at left and strings of small coloured lights overhead. In the centre, a priest in white dhoti with a green-and-gold border bends over a square fire pit where a flame burns among wood and offerings, with a brass bowl and flower-decorated platform beside it. Several men in white dhotis and garlands stand or sit around the area, including one bare-chested man at left wearing a mala and a shawl, and a figure at right seated on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion and a decorative canopy, wearing a reddish-brown garment and gold necklaces. Multiple tiers of orange-and-white offerings sit at the bottom edge, along with a painted mask-like figure. A homa/yagna with seated devotees and kalasha-style decorations is visible in the background.2017-05-02May 26 20172017-05-26January 02 20162016-01-02A large tented hall with coloured paper streamers and lanterns hanging from the ceiling, filled with seated devotees in white. In the centre, a wooden homa fire pit stands on a red carpet scattered with flower petals. Two priests in white dhotis, one bare-chested and wearing a saffron shawl, stand beside the pit; a woman in a white cloth with a saffron wrap stands behind them and another woman in a yellow cloth sits in front. On the right, a seated figure in red and gold robes, wearing a garland and a black crown-like headpiece, sits on a gilded throne under a multicoloured parasol, flanked by attendants. Brass pots of fruit, flowers and lamps are arranged in the foreground, and a camera crew films the ritual. Identity of the figure on the throne is uncertain from appearance alone.2016-12-05January 02 20162016-01-02May 25 20172017-05-25
