September 15 20152015-09-15February 15 20132013-02-15A crowded dusty pilgrimage road with many women walking toward the camera. Foreground women wear a yellow saree with a white headscarf, a bright blue saree with a red-edged shawl, a red and maroon patterned shawl over olive green, and a bright turquoise saree draped over the head. Many carry bags, and bangles are visible on their wrists. Behind them, men in white kurtas and orange clothing move through a busy open-air market with tents, parked vehicles and a steel railway bridge. A large roadside hoarding shows portraits and printed Hindi text, and a yellow banner is visible on the right. The scene suggests a mela or sacred bathing-site crowd, though no ritual is visible.2013-02-07A crowded outdoor scene on a dusty road by a river, with a steel railway bridge and a grey truck in the background. Many villagers in everyday rural clothing press together: a man in a dark waistcoat over white kurta and a yellow cloth at his side, a woman in a red shawl and floral pink sari, an older woman in a blue sari with a blue head covering, a man in a brown jacket with a white turban and lavender scarf, and men in cream kurtas with lavender or white shawls. A woman with an orange headscarf stands in the middle, and a man wears a cream sweater vest. No a person candidate is visible.2013-02-07Outdoor photo of several women seated on a paved brick ground. In the foreground, an older woman in a yellow blouse and green patterned sari with a red tilak on her forehead sits with her hands clasped. Beside her, a woman in a brown paisley sari over a turquoise blouse sits smiling, with a red dupatta draped over her head. At left, a woman in a pink and yellow shawl sits with a small card. Other women in bright saris, one orange, stand at the upper edge. A green and white bag lies on the ground. No person is identified as a person in the scene.2015-09-15May 03 20162016-05-03February 12 20132013-02-12February 11 20132013-02-11A large crowd of devotees, mostly women in colourful saris and headscarves, walks along a dusty road lined with utility poles and power lines. Many carry white cloth bags. Behind them, rows of white tents, pennants and temporary stalls stretch into a hazy sky. A man in a white shirt with an ID badge walks among them, and a man in a yellow shirt stands on the right. The scene suggests a large pilgrimage or festival gathering on an open route.2013-02-07September 17 20062006-09-17Three women sit closely together on a paved surface in an outdoor festival setting. The woman on the left wears a pale pink sari and a red bindi with a dark beaded mala, her hands resting on her knees. The woman in the centre wears a white sari with a gold border, dark sunglasses, a beaded mala and gold bangles, and her arm rests around the woman beside her. The older woman on the right has grey hair, a vibhuti mark on her forehead and a purple and yellow sari, seated with her hands folded. Standing behind them are people in white dhotis, a woman in green striped clothing and another in a green sari with gold jewellery, with a colourful festival decoration visible at the edge.2006-12-25February 07 20132013-02-07
