A photograph of a group procession walking along an unpaved dirt road at dusk, with rough rocks and sparse grass in the foreground. Many people in white dhotis and white shirts or white saris walk in the line, several carrying orange-and-saffron banners and colourful ceremonial umbrellas on poles. Two men in front hold a large white banner bearing a red-framed portrait and printed Tamil lettering. Behind them, women in white saris with orange borders walk alongside. Unfinished brick buildings, a white low-rise structure, and water tanks stand in the background.

Several men in white dhotis and white shirts walk barefoot behind two banners: a white banner with blue lettering in Tamil reading பாத யாத்திரை (pada yatra, foot pilgrimage) and a white banner reading Nithyananda Youth Centre, Elampillai. A man in a white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha mala holds the pada yatra banner at the front. A large multicoloured parasol with tassels shades a group on the left, and a man in an orange robe stands in the middle. At the left, a man in a light blue shirt and grey trousers stands before a large orange banner printed with a portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" showing a smiling figure in saffron head wrap and orange clothing, with Kannada text below. Behind him, men in white shirts and white dhotis carry orange and blue flags on poles, and some hold ceremonial fans and staffs. A police officer in khaki uniform stands at the far left. Further back, a bus and floats with decorative panels continue down the road, and a few people wear saffron clothing. Bright orange flags and white-clad marchers dominate the scene.

In the foreground an elderly man with grey hair and stubble wears a white shirt, white dhoti-style cloth over his shoulder and a rudraksha mala, and carries a red placard reading WE WANT JUSTICE, NOT EXCUSE with a printed portrait of a smiling figure in orange-saffron headwear and robes. Behind him marchers in white shirts and white dhotis carry saffron-orange flags with a blue emblem, and some wear round orange badges.
