A tall golden pillar topped with a small ornate finial and a sheaf of grain is hung with a dark red-brown flag bearing a framed portrait of a saffron-robed figure, draped with red, yellow and green garlands. Several people in saffron-orange cloths pull the flag rope upward, one standing in front with a rudraksha-style necklace, while others in saffron wraps hold brass plates of offerings at the right. A grain-and-leaf bundle sits at the pillar base.2018-12-22 +1 copiesDecember 22 20182018-12-22December 22 20182018-12-22December 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesA copper flagstaff with ornately carved base, garlanded with yellow and white flowers and dark leaves, stands on a red-orange platform beneath coconut palms. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at the pole: the nearer one, with a shaved head and bare arm, reaches up to pull the rope, while the other, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, holds a brass tray. A bare-bodied figure in white stands at the right edge. The rope runs up beside the pole into the bright sky.2011-03-05April 25 20202020-04-25 +1 copiesDecember 18 20132013-12-18Photo 11724129 +1 copiesDecember 30 20172017-12-30
