A large crowd of devotees, mostly women and girls, sits closely packed on the ground under an open-sided pavilion with a corrugated roof and palm trees behind it. Nearly all wear white or cream traditional garments with gold-bordered edges, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, and red forehead markings, and many have red cloth bands tied over their eyes. Some sit with hands folded or eyes closed. At the back, a stage area holds a few standing figures in white and red garments, a flower-decorated backdrop and a table. The scene is a outdoor ashram gathering with the crowd filling the foreground.

Photograph of a seated group of participants at a Shiva Deeksha event on a red-carpeted stage at night. Many people wear red blindfolds over their eyes and white saris or white clothing with gold borders, with red and white forehead marks and beaded necklaces. Some wear name badges pinned to their clothes. A young girl in a white dress sits at left with a woman. Behind them, smoke rises and blurred figures in orange and white stand on a dimly lit stage, with a golden deity murti or ornament at upper right.

Night outdoor gathering of a large crowd seated on mats in rows, many men and women in white dhotis and saris with gold borders, most wearing red blindfolds over their eyes. Many are bare-chested men with sacred threads and garlands, and women wear white with thin gold trim and necklaces. Name badges hang on several chests. Bright floodlights and strings of coloured lights hang above, with brass lamps at the left edge and a small backdrop behind. This appears to be a Shiva Deeksha initiation during a Kalpataru Yogam programme in Tamil Nadu. No single person is clearly identifiable as a person in this crowd.

A photograph of a large seated group of women at an Arogya Yoga program, all wearing white cloth blindfolds tied over their eyes. Most wear white or cream sarees and salwar-style outfits with dark beaded mala necklaces, and many have ID badges pinned to their clothes. Some wear orange or yellow borders and orange-and-blue patterned sarees. They sit close together on a green mat floor under a tent-like hall, and a banner with a portrait of a person appears in the upper right corner. Several women have their hands resting on their laps or knees, with some seated in meditative posture. The scene suggests a group meditation session with the participants wearing eye coverings.

They sit cross-legged on green mats in rows, mostly women in saris and salwar kameez in white, cream, orange, peach, blue and purple, some with rudraksha or beaded necklaces and name badges pinned to their clothes. A red bag sits on the floor in the foreground. Behind them, banners and a draped white canopy frame the hall, and the crowd stretches back toward the stage. No single leader is clearly identifiable in the frame.
