Photograph on a deep red stage backdrop of a seated ritual or initiation scene. A man in a light blue shirt and dark trousers sits on a carved wooden chair and places both hands on the head of a young person in an orange-red garment who kneels before him. Behind them, a woman in a white sari with gold border and layered rudraksha malas stands with her hands on the kneeling person's shoulders. A man in white dhoti with bare chest and a red-and-white shawl holds a microphone at right. Several young girls and boys in orange and red saris or robes, with white forehead markings and beaded malas, stand in a line behind. A bald man in white clothing sits at far left. Visible ritual dress and blessing gesture; no deity image is shown.2016-04-23April 23 20162016-04-23November 26 20112011-11-26September 20 20152015-09-20A seated man with long dreadlocked black hair, wearing a rust-red robe and rudraksha mala with a red tassel, extends his right arm to bless a kneeling older man in white clothing and a rust-red shawl, who bows with hands joined. Several women stand behind: one in a cream sari with gold necklaces and a red border, another in a cream sari with a red shawl and layered gold malas, and one in purple with a red shawl and beaded necklaces. A gold ceremonial staff stands at right and green foliage at left. The dreadlocked figure's appearance is consistent with a person given the long dreadlocks, rudraksha mala and rust-red robe, presented here as a blessing (darshan) moment; the page does not confirm his presence at this event.2016-05-11A saffron-robed man with long dark hair tied back and a gold-beaded necklace places his right hand on the shaved head of a young boy in a white shirt and red-and-black beaded necklace. The boy kneels with palms pressed together. Beside them, a woman in white with a dark beaded mala and orange-patterned shawl watches, and several girls in white with orange shawls stand behind. A golden deity murti and red draped cloth frame the scene, with a white fan at right. The saffron-robed man is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, ornate gold beads and saffron clothing, placing his hand on the boy's head in a blessing.2015-07-19September 06 20152015-09-06October 12 20172017-10-12A photograph of a devotional blessing in a small indoor room. A bare-chested figure in a red-and-orange dhoti-style wrap with a rudraksha mala draped across the chest and neck is raising a hand toward the forehead of a young man in white who kneels, holding a red fruit in cupped hands. The figure has a long dark hair bun. Nearby, an elderly woman in a cream sari with a red and white flower garland and a rudraksha mala looks on, and a man in white with an orange cloth stands behind. On a table draped in orange cloth sit bananas, a plate of fruit, a small bowl and a white electric fan. Orange curtains and a framed picture appear at the right edge, and other devotees stand in the background.2014-07-04 +2 copiesSeptember 20 20152015-09-20A seated man in a saffron-orange robe with a gold-edged border and a long rudraksha mala around his neck places his right palm on the forehead of a young boy in a navy hoodie and orange scarf. A woman in white with an orange-red shawl and a beaded mala stands beside them, watching. Behind them, girls and women in white with orange scarves stand against red drapes and a gold-toned panel, and a man in white sits at the right. The seated man is an appearance-based a person by his long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha malas, so this is a blessing scene in a satsang-style hall.2015-07-19November 02 20142014-11-02
