September 15 20152015-09-15Outdoor procession scene in bright daylight. A smiling man in a rust-red turban, dark red-brown robe and a heavy multi-strand brown and gold rudraksha-style mala stands at centre, with gold bangles on his arm. Around him are devotees in saffron and orange robes, a uniformed police officer in a dark cap, and a man in dark sunglasses in an orange robe holding marigold garlands. Behind them stands an ornate white and gold palanquin or ratha decorated with pink flowers, green leaf garlands and marigold strings, with an elderly bearded sadhu in orange robes and a white beard seated or standing inside. A silver trident-like staff is visible at left. The scene suggests a festive procession with garlanded decorations.2016-04-18Night photograph of an outdoor evening ceremony. A man in the centre wears a red-orange turban with a small gold ornament, an orange-red garment, a multicoloured garland of white and red-yellow-green flowers, and a long gold chain with a pendant. He stands with palms pressed together in greeting beside a tall gold-coloured pole. Around him, devotees in red and orange dhotis with gold borders, some with bare upper bodies and sacred threads, stand with hands folded. Colourful string lights glow in the background.2015-11-25November 21 20152015-11-21October 21 20152015-10-21 +1 copiesMay 23 20152015-05-23 +1 copiesSeptember 15 20152015-09-15Night procession scene: a man in a deep red turban and rust-red robe, wearing a heavy rudraksha mala and a gold necklace with a pendant, walks smiling with a silver trident held by a helper in saffron in the foreground.
