Outdoor procession on a dirt ground with a hill and trees behind. A bare-chested man with a long garland of white flowers and a red-brown dhoti walks barefoot along a blue-striped cloth path. Two attendants in white dhotis carry ornate orange-and-red decorated parasols with peacock-like emblems, and a multicoloured umbrella stands above the center. Drummers and a horn player in white dress stand at the left, and a crowd of devotees in white shirts and dhotis, plus a woman in a patterned sari, lines the right side. Visible people: about ten, and the central walker may be a candidate with a garland but his face and features are not verifiable.2015-05-05A procession on a dirt ground in front of a hillside, with a central figure walking barefoot along a blue-edged mat. He wears a saffron-red dhoti-style garment, a garland of white flowers, a gold chain and a dark beaded necklace; his long dark hair is swept back. Two attendants in white saris with gold borders hold orange-and-gold ceremonial umbrellas with floral and bird motifs, and a third umbrella in red and multicolour stands behind him. Men in white shirts and white dhotis walk alongside, a man in orange robes stands among them, and a drummer in a white shirt plays a large drum at left. Spectators line the route, including an older woman in a patterned sari and boys in shorts; a water bottle is visible. Trees, banana plants and a distant shelter complete the setting.2015-05-05 +1 copiesMay 05 20122012-05-05 +1 copiesA procession on a dirt path between buildings, with several people carrying a long line of multicoloured umbrellas with red, green and orange panels and tasselled fringes.
