July 23 20122012-07-23Outdoor photo in a garden shrine area with dirt ground, tree branches supported by wooden poles, and a palm plant in the foreground. A standing man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back hair and a mala necklace, stands between two small shrine platforms with arched niches holding black stone deity murti and a black Shivalinga. The platforms are painted red and white with Tamil inscriptions; one reads a Tamil name of a planet deity and the other reads a Tamil word for lingam. Other trees and a building are visible in the background.2011-10-09August 13 20112011-08-13Outdoor temple garden in bright daylight with young trees and a wooden trellis frame supporting a sapling in a ring of white stones. On the right, a figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands beside a red and white plinth holding a small statue draped in white cloth. Other people in white dhotis and orange shawls stand around the plinths and pathways, one carrying a black bag. Several other red-and-white plinths hold white-draped statues among the trees.2011-01-18Night photograph of an outdoor shrine area lit by a floodlight and street lamps. On the left, a golden arch frames a dark stone deity murti draped in orange and white cloth and garlanded with yellow flowers, with a small brass lamp and offerings set before it on a red and white striped plinth. Two men in saffron-orange robes walk along a paved path toward the shrine: the foreground figure wears a rudraksha mala and is barefoot, while a second figure in orange behind him carries a flower garland. Potted palms and small trees surround the walkway, with rows of small lights in the background.2012-01-08September 09 20112011-09-09December 09 20112011-12-09An outdoor temple courtyard with red-and-white painted shrine platforms, lush trees and potted palms. A man with long dark hair in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands barefoot on a stone slab, holding a small brass vessel. Beside him a bald man in a white dhoti with a red-bordered cloth, and another in a white dhoti, attend a table draped in white cloth holding a brass plate, lamp and ritual items. A second man in orange robes stands at right. On the left a black stone deity murti is adorned with red and white flower garlands, and a small orange-clad figure sits nearby. A green signboard stands in the background. This appears to be an offering or puja ceremony at a shrine.2011-09-08July 23 20122012-07-23Outdoor temple garden scene. A long-haired figure in orange-saffron robes and a rudraksha-style bead garland stands barefoot and bows with hands pressed together toward a tree trunk encircled by a white-edged raised platform with white and pink kolam designs on the ground. Behind, a second person in orange and a third figure in orange stand with hands folded near a small shrine with an orange garland and a dark shivalinga, flanked by stone arches. Banana plants and palms frame the scene, with a red-and-white canopy in the background.2011-12-21September 09 20112011-09-09September 05 20162016-09-05
