The scene resembles a guru puja or bhiksha offering.2008-07-17A photograph of a festive devotional gathering under a white tent. At the centre, a man with long dark hair and a flower garland of white blossoms wears an orange-saffron robe and gold-bead necklaces and smiles as he stands before an ornate gold-and-red throne. Behind him a golden throne with a carved backrest and a seated deity-style emblem is decorated with red flowers. A man on the left in an orange robe and ceremonial beads holds a silver vessel and a small silver implement, while a bearded man with long hair and an orange robe stands nearby. Around them, devotees in white shirts, a woman in a teal top and a woman in a white sari with a red border press forward, some holding hands together in greeting or reaching toward the central figure. Several devotees in white clothes and a woman with a long braid in a white top gather around. Fruit, mangoes, marigold garlands, and banana-leaf plates of offerings are on the low table. Behind them hangs a green leafy backdrop with a red-gold decorative emblem. A man at left wears a white shirt and a lanyard badge.2009-06-14July 07 20092009-07-07A photograph of a blessing at an indoor event with red drapes and a floral backdrop. A bare-chested man in a saffron wrap and red top, seated on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, raises his hand to touch the forehead of a bowed older man in a white shirt. Nearby, a young man in an orange shawl and white kurta stands beside a priest in white, and a woman in green and a small child in a floral dress look on. Several others crowd behind. Page cues do not confirm the seated man's identity, so the appearance-based identity remains unsure. Garlands and flower arrangements decorate the stage.2009-02-21A photograph of a ceremonial gathering under a white tent at a temple. A person seated on the throne wears an orange-red garment, a multi-coloured floral garland and a gold necklace, and is receiving folded hands and a brass offering plate. Around them, devotees in white clothes and orange shawls stand close; a woman in a white sari with a rudraksha mala holds a brass plate, and an older man in white looks on. Electric fans and small offerings sit on a side table. The cues are a visible throne, garland and gold adornments; the person seated on the throne appears to have long hair and orange-red clothing, so the appearance is a probable Swamiji (probable) candidate, present in person, while the surrounding people are devotees.2009-07-07
