An outdoor gathering under a canopy strung with colourful triangular bunting in red, yellow, green and purple. A long-haired figure seen from behind wears an orange sleeveless garment and a thick red flower garland, seated facing a man in a white shirt and white dhoti who is smiling broadly and gesturing with his hands. Nearby, another man in white shirt and white dhoti with a saffron-orange shawl, and a bald man in white with a golden-brown shawl, smile and stand among the crowd. A figure seated on a white-draped chariot or throne wears a saffron-orange robe and a saffron-orange turban with gold border, long dark hair visible at the shoulder, and a gold-bordered orange cloth; a devotee in white shirt reaches toward them. Around them, men in white shirts and dhotis, some with rudraksha-style necklaces and tilak marks, and women in cream and orange saris with gold jewelry and mangalsutra stand among a large gathering. A tall decorated pole with a blue and orange cloth panel rises at top center. Welcome gathering at a chariot-honouring event.2008-07-28A photograph of a seated long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes and a white and orange flower garland, smiling while a man in white shirt and dhoti kneels and touches his feet near a low white wall. Behind, a younger man in an orange shawl holds a rudraksha-style mala and steps forward to assist. Another man in white stands nearby, and several onlookers peer over a wall with green oleander foliage. A purple cloth covers the seat. The seated figure shows distinctive long swept hair, saffron clothing and a flower garland; the page does not state a person was at this event, so identity is uncertain. Six or more people are visible in total, with several partially visible onlookers.2009-02-15Outdoor ceremony at a temple-style event. A long-haired figure in an orange sleeveless garment and a layered gold-bead necklace sits on a white-draped seat or dais, gazing to the side. Beside him, a bald man in orange sits on a white cushion. A woman in an orange top with hair tied back kneels in the foreground, bowing toward the seat. Behind, men in white dhotis and shirts stand near striped bamboo poles, one wearing a lanyard badge. A small book rests on the white cloth. Swamiji (probable) is the seated long-haired figure, given the presentation cues of long swept hair, saffron clothing and gold ornaments, with the page noting his presence at this event.2008-04-19Outdoor photo of a large crowd gathered at a rural event. A seated figure in an orange-saffron robe with long dark swept-back hair, a red tilak on the forehead and a thick pink-red flower garland sits on a white-draped raised platform with a green mat, extending one hand to bless a kneeling man. The kneeling man wears white clothes with an orange-bordered shawl, hands joined in namaskar, head bowed, with a red thread on his head. Surrounding people wear white shirts and dhotis, with some women in green and blue saris. Rose petals lie on the mat, bamboo poles and a large speaker are visible behind the crowd.2006-11-13
