March 25 20082008-03-25A seated congregation fills a hall during a satsang or darshan session. Rows of men and women in white or pale shirts and kurtas sit on the floor and in white plastic chairs, several with rudraksha malas hanging at their chests. Some have closed eyes in meditation, others look forward. A large portrait of a smiling woman with long dark hair hangs on the left wall beside a Tamil-language banner. Hanging decorations, ceiling fans and white metal framing are visible overhead, and a speaker sits on the right.2008-03-25March 25 20082008-03-25December 14 20072007-12-14March 22 20082008-03-22A wide view of a large audience seated in white plastic chairs under a white tent at a convention hall. Most attendees wear white shirts and dhotis or sarees in pink, yellow and blue, and many hold notebooks or papers. On the left, a dark blue backdrop displays several framed portrait posters with flower garlands; the portraits are printed images, not physical people. A small banner in Tamil is visible on the wall at the far end, and the seating extends toward the back of the tent. No speaker or dais person is clearly visible in this frame.2006-12-16March 25 20082008-03-25A large indoor hall packed with seated devotees, mostly women in orange and saffron shawls, white and yellow saris, and red and blue clothing, with flowers in some hair. Many sit on white plastic chairs and floor mats facing toward the front, where a figure in white is partially visible at the right edge. Above them hangs a yellow cloth banner with geometric borders, and a framed poster in Tamil script with a photograph is mounted on the wall. Overhead are white fabric canopy and speaker equipment. The atmosphere suggests a satsang or discourse gathering.2008-10-09October 11 20082008-10-11Photograph of a large seated audience inside a marquee with pale cream draped fabric walls, filling most of the frame with men in white shirts and mundus, many wearing lanyard ID badges. Some men wear rudraksha malas and vibhuti marks; a few older men have white beards and glasses. Hanging banners and framed informational panels line the tent. The stage and speaker are not visible, so the presiding figure cannot be identified from this view.2006-12-16March 12 20082008-03-12March 12 20082008-03-12
