A seated man in orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace holds his hands in anjali, bowing his head. In front of him, a figure in orange clothing with long dark hair and white jasmine garlands bends forward, touching the seated man's head with a brass vessel or kalasha-like object. Behind them, a man in a yellow shawl with a printed pattern photographs the scene, and two men in white and light shirts stand watching. Garlands of white flowers and red blossoms lie on a draped purple cloth to the right. Readable copyright credits appear at lower right.2010-07-21A photograph of a pada puja ceremony. A person in orange robes and a long orange garment with a beaded necklace sits on an orange-draped seat, their bare feet resting on a cushion decorated with yellow and orange flower garlands. A devotee in a white shirt and white dhoti bows forward, placing his hands on the orange cloth at their feet, with rose petals scattered on the floor. Two men in white shirts wearing white garlands with orange and pink flowers stand behind, one gesturing with his hands. A man in white clothing with an orange shawl stands at the right edge, and a brass bowl of flowers and fruit sits on a wooden table at the left. The person seated is identified by appearance only as a person, seated with long swept-back hair and ornate beaded adornments.2010-07-24A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a gold ceremonial necklace and a white vibhuti mark on his forehead pours liquid from a green coconut onto a small red-draped deity murti, performing abhishekam. A peacock feather fan is arranged behind the seated figure, and a brass pot and flower garlands decorate the niche. Flower petals and rangoli-style floral offerings in small plates lie on the floor in front, with blue, purple and orange streamers hanging above. The seated figure appears to be a statue or image rather than a living person. The robed person has long dark hair and is bent in devotion, consistent with a puja or padapuja at a home shrine. Swamiji (probable) appears as the robed person with long hair and orange clothing performing the offering.2009-08-11
