Several ornate umbrellas with red, gold and multicoloured embroidered canopies and tassels are raised above the crowd, and orange and red flags fly on tall poles. Some hands are raised in namaskar and others are clasped in prayer, while a few people in saffron or orange robes stand among them. A thatched structure and bunting strung between palms frame the scene.2009-01-01January 01 20122012-01-01A festival procession moves along a tree-lined road. Many people in white dhotis and kurtas walk alongside, some wearing orange or saffron sashes and rudraksha-style beads, while others in saris and casual clothes follow. Numerous saffron flags and a Malaysian flag are carried on poles. A white van and a red signboard appear at the edges.2010-12-22December 22 20102010-12-22December 14 20062006-12-14January 01 20092009-01-01A golden ornate chariot procession moves through a palm-lined grounds. A man with long dark hair sits in the golden ratha, wearing a green garment and a white flower garland, seated beneath a yellow fringed canopy and a gold kalasha finial. The chariot is draped with red, magenta and white garlands and hanging multicoloured tassels. A bright blue-and-gold circular emblem is mounted on its side. Crowds of devotees in white and orange saffron clothing walk alongside, many holding long poles that support red and orange flags. Several people wear white, and one holds a white fly-whisk-style chamara. A palm tree and a red-brick wall stand behind. This is a ratha procession; the seated man is a probable Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues of long swept-back hair and ornate ceremonial dress on a chariot throne.2010-12-20Outdoor procession on a dirt path under trees, with a small ornate golden ratha/palanquin shrine carrying a deity murti at its centre. A red-and-yellow fringed parasol canopy is in the left foreground. Orange flags are held aloft on the right, and a crowd of people in white and orange clothing follows the procession, many seen from behind. A bright-blue ratha or structure-like shrine detail and a green dome-like roof appear in the background. The procession appears to be a ratha procession at the ashram grounds.2006-12-14
