Men serving food in a covered open-sided dining hall with a thatched roof and leafy windows. In the foreground, a young man in a white shirt and grey trousers holds a steel plate of rice and vegetables. Beside him, a young man in a white kurta with glasses and a beaded necklace ladles food from a large steel pot on a counter. Other men in white and grey shirts stand behind the serving counter, and a few more people are visible in the background. Steel vessels and pots line the counter, and scattered rice grains lie on the dark surface.

A man in a light grey-and-white striped short-sleeved shirt stands at left holding a stainless steel plate that he is filling with cooked white rice from a large metal bucket. A woman in a white sari with a gold border and gold bangles serves from the bucket with a ladle at right, and a partially visible person in white stands behind her. A small amount of curry or side dish sits on the plate beside the rice. The plain pale wall behind them suggests a simple hall, with rice serving typical of an annadan meal.

Men serve food in a kitchen with orange-painted walls at a steel counter holding large stainless steel pots and a plate of food. On the left, a shaved-headed man in a white dhoti and a rudraksha mala with a pendant is ladling from a pot. Beside him, an older man in a blue shirt and white cloth stands at a pot. On the right, a man in a plaid shirt with a red shawl and purple lungi holds a plate and receives food. Blurred figures are partly visible behind. The setting suggests a kitchen service for annadan.
