A night-time photograph of a ritual aarti. A brass lamp holder with a bright open flame and small hanging bells is held up by a hand at the lower centre-right. Behind it hang dense strings of marigold and white jasmine garlands in yellow, orange, red, white and purple. A partially visible person at the lower left, with a shaved or close-cropped head and gold ornament at the neck, is turned toward the flame. Smoke drifts across the dark background.2011-12-22April 14 20182018-04-14April 23 20182018-04-23Close photo of a hand raising a brass aarti lamp with a large flame and rising smoke, held against a plain pink-beige wall. The person has long dark hair and wears an orange garment with a golden-edged shawl draped over the shoulder, and a gold bangle on the wrist. Behind them, a flower-decorated shrine is adorned with strings of white jasmine, orange marigold and yellow garlands, with red and white floral arrangements at right.
