January 01 20112011-01-01A smiling man in profile wears an ornate cream-and-gold turban and a red tilak on his forehead. His long dark hair falls past his shoulders, and he is bare-chested under a white cloth wrap. Heavy garlands of white jasmine and red flowers hang across his shoulders. Behind him, a gold-topped ceremonial umbrella or canopy with green and yellow tassels is visible, and a golden ritual vessel stands in the lower right. Outdoors in bright daylight. Appearance-based candidate: a person, shown in procession under a ceremonial canopy, distinguished by the long swept hair, ceremonial turban and garlands.2011-01-01January 01 20112011-01-01Side profile photograph of a smiling man seated on a decorated palanquin or ratha during a procession. He wears an ornate cream-and-gold turban with a green tassel, a white garment with gold border, and a white flower garland with red blossoms draped over his shoulder. Behind him a gold finial with a pink tassel, yellow marigold garlands, and a maroon and orange velvet cushion frame the scene. Pink and purple flowers sit at the bottom edge. A purple logo sits at upper left and a copyright overlay appears at lower right.2011-01-01December 20 20102010-12-20A smiling man in a cream-colored turban and white kurta with a gold-bordered shawl sits before a gilded throne-like backdrop. He wears layered garlands of white and red flowers with green leaves, a gold chain and a bead necklace. Behind him is an ornate gold carved structure and a flower arrangement in red and white with gold outlines. Appearance is not sufficient to confirm a specific identity, so he is described by role as a seated guest of honour during a darshan event.2009-06-22December 20 20102010-12-20Side profile photograph of a man with long dark hair wearing a white turban decorated with gold sequins and a gold band, with a white flower garland and a thick red flower garland around his neck, and a bare shoulder in the foreground.
