A padapuja ceremony in a temple hall with red-and-white striped walls and a gold-framed ornate throne. Around him, devotees in white clothes sit on the floor. A shaved-headed man in white with a rudraksha mala stands at right holding a lit oil lamp toward a brass plate, while another man in white with glasses holds a lamp nearby. Women in white, a woman in a maroon sari, and a woman with a long braid join with folded hands and offering plates. Brass thalis with fruit, pomegranates and flowers sit on a gold stand, and fruit sits on a side table.

A photograph of a padapuja ritual in an ornate hall with orange-painted walls. A man seated on a gold-and-red throne wears an orange robe and a rudraksha mala, his bare feet resting on a wooden footstool, eyes closed. In front of him, devotees in white and pale-yellow clothing sit with palms pressed together; one woman wears a yellow shawl. A woman in blue and a priest in white kneel at brass trays holding flowers, fruit and lamps. Another gold throne stands empty at left, and figures in white stand in the open doorway behind.

Behind, a man in a white dhoti with a gold necklace sits beside a golden seat, and at the lower edges two people with dark hair watch from close range. Orange cloth, gold ornamentation and gold trays dominate the frame.

Padapuja ritual in a yellow-draped hall. A man in saffron robes, with a white and red flower garland, rudraksha mala and a red tilak, sits on an ornate gold throne with carved lion armrests and is seated on a gold foot-stool. A devotee in a white dhoti and orange shawl kneels before him, touching his feet with offerings, as women in white saris with yellow shawls stand behind holding brass plates. Bowls of offerings and flowers lie on the floor and on a side shelf, and the throne is set against gold curtains. The man on the throne is a person by appearance cues: saffron robes, rudraksha mala and garland, with the page noting his presence.
