November 24 20062006-11-24November 24 20062006-11-24August 17 20072007-08-17 +2 copiesA photograph of a bare-chested man in an orange-and-gold turban and gold ear ornaments bowing his head while a grey-haired man in saffron-orange robes raises his hand above him, placing a red and pink flower garland over his turban. A second man with white beard and orange shawl stands at left in soft focus. A deep blue starry backdrop fills the stage. The bowing figure wears wooden beaded bracelets and a gold-trimmed orange cloth. The scene appears to be a blessing or initiation moment.2015-07-21December 30 20072007-12-30July 27 20082008-07-27December 31 20092009-12-31Outdoor festival pavilion under white canvas with a tent ceiling. A man with long dark hair, orange turban, rudraksha mala and orange robes smiles broadly while draping a maroon and gold shawl over the head of an older saffron-robed seated monk wearing orange turban and glasses. Several other orange-robed seated figures sit on gilded red-cushioned chairs at left, and a few uniformed officials and onlookers stand along a red-and-white barrier at right. Flower garlands and a decorated pillar are visible. The man with long hair and rudraksha mala has a presentation consistent with the Swamiji description, with long hair, orange turban and rudraksha mala cues, so he is described as the probable Swamiji presenting a shawl.2007-12-30A photograph of a ceremony on a stage with a red draped backdrop and a gilded carved pillar. A man in a saffron-orange kurta and orange cloth, bent forward with his head lowered, is having an orange cloth draped over his head by a standing person in a maroon-red turban, rudraksha-style pink flower garland, maroon and gold robe, and gold bangles. The standing person is smiling. A bald head of another attendee is visible in the foreground. The setting suggests a honouring or blessing ritual.2015-07-21Photograph of a ceremony in a stage setting with red drapes and stage lights. A man in an orange-red turban and brown-gold garment, wearing a pink flower garland, rudraksha-style beaded necklace and a gold chain, holds up a long orange cloth draped over the head of a bowing man with long grey hair and beard in orange robes. Behind them, a man in orange with glasses and a turban stands; at left a seated man in orange with a white garland smiles; at right a white-garlanded man sits beside a tall white and orange flower garland hanging on a pillar. Swamiji (probable): the turbaned man in brown-gold garments and garlands is the only candidate with a turban, ornate clothing, a gold necklace and beaded necklace, and he is shown placing the orange cloth on the bowing devotee.2015-07-21Photograph of an outdoor or canopied ceremony with saffron-clad sannyasis. In the foreground a bearded elderly man in orange robes sits on a chair while a younger man in a red turban and orange-red garment leans in and places a long ceremonial garland with rudraksha malas and golden beads over his head, smiling. Around them other men in orange robes, some wearing red or saffron turbans, stand and sit close by, with a golden-bordered wooden staff visible at the left edge. The setting has a white and orange tent canopy with metal framing overhead. Many people in saffron robes are gathered around, a sannyasi procession style atmosphere.2015-01-13A photo taken under a white canopy with sparkling decorations and red draping. A man in an orange turban, orange robes, a blue-and-orange paisley shawl, a white flower garland and a rudraksha mala stands at the centre while a bald man in orange robes and glasses applies something to his forehead with his fingers. A person in orange stands at left and another at right holding a gold-edged tray. Several seated people in orange clothing are visible in the background.2010-01-30
