In the foreground, a woman in a white and gold-bordered sari with a red rudraksha mala and red bangles writes in a notebook, and a girl with a long braid in a white garment also writes. Behind them, women in saris and kurtas sit with bags, water bottles and yellow and red tote bags nearby, while one woman at right wears an orange shawl. They wear white traditional garments with gold-coloured borders and gold-yellow shawls; several wear blue lanyards, and some have braided hair and bindis. Plastic chairs line the back of the hall and a large pillar-like structure stands at the rear. The women appear attentive, seated for a talk or programme.2010-09-05May 08 20172017-05-08June 29 20162016-06-29September 05 20142014-09-05December 20 20092009-12-20November 01 20112011-11-01A photograph of a group of young girls seated cross-legged on the floor of a hall, writing on sheets of paper held on clipboards or laps. In the foreground a girl in a lime-green salwar kameez with a red-and-gold bindi sits writing with a pen. Beside her a girl in a bright red top looks down at her paper. Other girls in orange, saffron, white and pink outfits sit on striped mats in the background, several with pens in hand. The floor is grey concrete with striped floor mats.
