Behind them, devotees in white and colourful saris, some in white dhotis, fill the hall.2018-01-09 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushions, a gold trident and carved gold panel behind him. He wears a deep red-orange turban with a gold ornament, saffron-orange robes, a long gold necklace and a garland of white and yellow flowers over an orange shawl, and he smiles while holding a small object. Around him, a young girl in a red top and green skirt bends toward him, a man in a white shirt and white dhoti leans in, and a woman in pink stands at the right edge with long dark braids. Before him a devotee in a white dhoti and white shirt with a red-orange printed shawl bends forward, while a man beside the throne holds a microphone and papers. Behind, women in red-orange and white saris sit in attendance. Puja items including marigold garlands, a brass vessel and a coconut lie at the base of the seat, and a palanquin-style throne frames the scene. The seated man has long swept-back hair, a crown-like turban and rudraksha adornments, which is consistent with a person presence on the throne; the identity is uncertain.2017-07-08December 07 20162016-12-07A smoky indoor ritual scene. A young man with long dark hair, wearing a rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace over a saffron-orange garment, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions and a zebra-striped cloth.
