January 04 20162016-01-04A photograph of a life-size statue or murti seated on an ornate gilded throne backed by a green embroidered cloth. The seated figure wears a maroon and gold turban-style headpiece, a large ornamental silver breastplate with a central emblem, a long gold-and-silver chain, and rudraksha-style beads, with a saffron-orange garment. The figure is heavily garlanded with yellow marigolds, red roses and white flower strands. On the left, a person in white holds up a brass oil lamp with a flame. The statue is a depiction, not a living person, and the scene is lit at night.2016-01-04November 05 20162016-11-05January 04 20162016-01-04December 15 20162016-12-15A seated man in a white turban and cream shawl sits on a golden throne framed by a large arch of marigolds and red roses in yellow, green, red and purple. He wears layered red and white garlands, a rudraksha-style mala, gold bangles and a maroon-brown dhoti-style cloth. A young man in white shirt and dhoti bends forward to offer flowers, and an attendant in orange robes stands at right holding a flower garland. Gold and brass ritual vessels, hanging brass bells and floral strands decorate the background. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure receiving the bhiksha offering, with his long hair and ceremonial gold and rudraksha adornments distinguishing him as the central honoured figure.2013-07-22A priest in a rust-brown turban and saffron-brown dhoti with gold border performs aarti with a lit camphor lamp on a brass plate before a seated metal murti of a deity crowned with a gold crown and draped in garlands of red, yellow and purple flowers, with a gold trident and gold necklaces. The murti sits on a gold-cloth covered peetha beneath an ornate silver-gold arch, beside a tall silver ceremonial staff, brass oil lamps and flower garlands in a temple-like pavilion.2015-07-09A seated man sits on an ornate gold throne with carved gold filigree backrest and armrests, smiling broadly. He wears a light tan turban, a mauve-and-silver embroidered tunic, and a multi-strand garland of white and multicolored flowers over a gold necklace, with a red bindi on his forehead. Before him on a green-garlanded stand, a flame burns in a shallow bowl, with a small fire visible beside it. Flower arrangements of orange, yellow and red blossoms sit on the throne's side tables, and a dark curtain forms the backdrop. The scene shows an appearance-based candidate for a person seated in ceremonial dress, with the flame and flowers as offerings beside the throne.2010-01-01November 14 20102010-11-14March 02 20132013-03-02A photograph of a temple ritual in which a long-haired man in a white garment stands on a raised golden platform, reaching up to adorn a large seated deity murti dressed in white with gold ornaments and a crown. The murti sits on a gold throne draped with yellow, magenta, red and white flower garlands. To the left, a man in orange robes holds a brass plate and tends to the garlands.
