October 05 20142014-10-05A man in rust-red sannyasi-style cloth with gold-bordered wrap stands outdoors beneath coconut palms, holding two golden ropes with both hands while a long garland of white jasmine and yellow-red flowers hangs across his chest and down to his knees. He wears a large gold-beaded rudraksha-style mala and a red tilak on his forehead, and looks downward. A stone base and greenery are behind him.2014-10-05Photograph of a man standing outdoors before palm trees, wearing a rust-red sannyasi-style cloth draped over the shoulder and wrapped at the waist with a gold-bordered sash. He has a red bindi on his forehead and holds a rope swing with both hands. He wears long garlands of white jasmine with yellow and red flower clusters, plus a rudraksha-style mala of gold-tipped beads across the chest.2014-10-05October 05 20142014-10-05A standing man in saffron-orange robes with a white and pink flower garland and a gold ornamental necklace raises one arm and grips two white ropes that run up past him, appearing to pull or hoist something. Behind him, two men in orange clothing assist with the ropes; one seated man in orange, with a shaved head, holds an object near the ropes. Tall coconut palms and green foliage fill the background, and a flower-decorated stone figure with a reddish-brown surface sits at the lower left. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting or dwajarohanam-style ritual outdoors.2009-06-09A bearded man with long dark hair and a white vibhuti marking on his forehead stands beside a carved wooden temple pillar draped in white and red flower garlands and green leaves. He wears a maroon-brown robe, a long brown rudraksha mala across his chest, and a red thread on his wrist, gripping a rope that hangs from above while he looks upward. A partly visible attendant in an orange dhoti with gold border stands at the right edge. Palm fronds and a golden lattice structure fill the background. Appearance-based label: probable Swamiji, identified by long hair, rudraksha mala and distinctive ritual dress, but this remains uncertain.2017-01-01March 11 20132013-03-11April 10 20162016-04-10A photograph of a standing figure in a red draped garment with a gold-bordered sash, wearing a red and white flower garland and a gold-coloured rudraksha-style bead necklace with ornate gold pendants. The figure's face is not visible; the arms are raised, gripping an orange rope or cord that rises above, while a second person in orange robes, with a shaved head and a gold necklace, sits or kneels at the lower right, looking up. Behind them are tall palm fronds against a bright sky, and at the left edge a brass or copper vessel is decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands. The scene suggests a ritual or temple-side activity involving a rope pull.2012-04-23January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20132013-09-11April 14 20132013-04-14
