May 24 20162016-05-24A photograph of three young men in orange sacred garments performing a ritual with lit oil lamps and small handheld bells. The central man, in focus, has long dreadlocks gathered atop his head, a white vertical mark on his forehead, rudraksha beads and a gold necklace, and holds a lamp aloft in his right hand while ringing a bell. Figures to the left and right, slightly blurred, hold similar lamps and bells and wear orange cloths and beaded necklaces. The background shows a warm pink-walled room with a glowing yellow light panel. Visually this suggests an aarti performed with lamps and bells.2017-03-18A photograph of a young man in saffron-orange robes walking in a ritual procession, holding a brass multi-branched oil lamp (aarti) in his right hand and a small brass bell in his left. He wears a rudraksha mala, a gold necklace, a bangle, and long dark matted hair piled high on his head, with white tripundra vibhuti marks on his forehead. Beside him, another young person in orange and gold clothing with a similar high-knot hairstyle and white forehead marks also carries a lit brass lamp. Older men in white and orange-clad sadhus stand in the blurred background, and a bell-holder appears at the left edge. The setting is a white-walled hall with a golden arch behind.2016-05-02March 18 20172017-03-18May 02 20162016-05-02Three young men in orange dhotis stand bare-chested in a hall, each holding a lit brass aarti lamp with flames rising from the wicks. The nearest man, on the right, wears a long rudraksha mala and a red-brown seed necklace over the chest, with white markings on his shoulders and upper arms, and a small gold earring. The two men to the left also wear seed malas and red-brown beaded garlands, one holding a small bell in his other hand. Behind them, seated devotees in colourful saris and a camera on a tripod face the scene. Framed prints hang on the pale wall and a carved golden deity shrine stands in the background.2016-10-12January 09 20182018-01-09Four young men stand in a row on a stage with anjali mudra, palms pressed together at chest level. They wear orange-red sannyasi-style cloths, rudraksha malas around their necks, and bangles on their wrists. Their hair is in dreadlocks, and one has a headband. Behind them is a cream canopy and an ornately carved golden-brown wooden pillar. The figure second from right has a rudraksha mala and gold-toned bands. The setting suggests a satsang or sacred programme.2016-04-17May 02 20162016-05-02January 09 20182018-01-09May 12 20172017-05-12May 12 20172017-05-12
