The man on the right has long swept-back hair, a long orange shawl, a large orange-and-white bead garland, and white markings on his forehead and arms; he leans toward the man beside him, hands clasped. The seated man on the left wears an orange robe with a white sacred thread and has short hair and a moustache. Behind them, two men in white shirts stand, one wearing a white garment with a bead necklace. Seated devotees in white and orange sit behind a metal railing, and a white-clothed elderly man sits on the floor at lower left.2010-07-21July 07 20102010-07-07A photograph in a room with beige marble-patterned walls, a flat-screen monitor and a gold-and-brass vessel on an orange-draped table. A seated bald elderly sannyasi in orange robes, rudraksha mala and a beaded headband receives something from a man in white dhoti and shirt who bends forward with cupped hands. Beside the elder, a younger man with a white forehead mark, gold necklaces, beaded headband and orange cloth holds a small object and white items. Behind them, a standing shaved-headed sannyasi in orange with rudraksha mala has folded hands, and several men in white shirts stand nearby. The scene suggests a devotee receiving blessing or offerings from the seated sannyasi.2012-05-10May 08 20122012-05-08June 18 20102010-06-18A photograph taken indoors in a plain white-walled hall with ceiling fans and a metal-framed window. A figure in orange ochre robes sits cross-legged on a red cloth at left, gesturing with one hand toward a standing group. Behind him, a shaved-headed attendant in orange robes holds a silver tray of fruit and offerings. Around them, about a dozen men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a loose circle, several with hands clasped or arms folded, one holding fruit. Visible props include oranges, a water bottle and a small bowl at lower left. The seated figure has long hair tied back and a crown-like appearance is absent; he is described only by his role as a seated teacher in orange robes.2011-01-16July 08 20102010-07-08
