A bald man in saffron-orange robes with a gold bead necklace sits on a carved wooden throne-chair, holding a silver aarti lamp with a tall flame in his right hand. White vibhuti markings are visible on his forehead, arms and chest. A silver bowl rests in front of him, and a second figure sits partly visible behind the throne against a red and white striped backdrop. The setting suggests an evening aarti at a temple. a person: the seated man has a shaved head and saffron robes with a gold necklace, consistent with the page's a person reference, though identity is uncertain from appearance alone.

The foreground man, bare-armed with white ash lines painted on his arm and gold beads around his neck, extends his hand toward a lit flame. The central man, with a shaved head and a white tilak on his forehead, holds a small brass aarti lamp aloft with a gold bracelet on his wrist. A third man behind them raises his hand near the flame. Smoke drifts through the frame, and blurred offering items and an orange cloth appear at the right edge of a pale pink wall.

He wears a gold bead necklace, a gold bracelet, and a red tilak on his forehead, and his hands are stained with mehndi. Behind him, a second man in white ritual dress and a woman stand in a line. The background shows red and orange draped cloth. The scene appears to be an aarti or puja ritual.

A night ritual photograph in which a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes and a long gold bead necklace holds a silver aarti lamp with a large open flame, performing the flame offering. Behind him a man in white with a yellow shawl stands with palms pressed together in namaste. At the lower left, a seated man in white and yellow holds another lit lamp. Fresh banana leaves and neem leaves hang above, smoke drifts through the scene, and brass plates with yellow flower petals and offerings lie in the foreground. The orange-robed man is a person by appearance: a saffron robe, ornate gold beads and the central role in the aarti, though the appearance is only partly distinctive.

A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a red and maroon sash sits on a red mat and holds a small brass oil lamp (deepam) lit with a flame in his right hand while his eyes are closed.
