A photograph of an evening aarti at an outdoor shrine beneath a corrugated roof. Two sannyasis in saffron-orange robes stand at left: the nearer one holds a lit aarti lamp in his right hand while palms are pressed together, and the other has his hands folded in namaskar. A man at far left in white dhoti and yellow shawl holds a brass vessel. A gilded deity murti is decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands in a shrine alcove, with a brass lamp stand, bells and a red-and-gold cloth draped on a low altar in front. Yellow marigold strings line the platform and rangoli and flower petals cover the floor. Oil lamps stand at lower left.

Evening aarti at a temple shrine. A devotee in orange robes stands with palms joined in prayer before a lit brass oil lamp set on a red-draped stand. Behind him, a second orange-robed figure and white-clad people stand near the shrine. The gilded deity murti is garlanded with yellow and orange flowers and draped in a blue cloth, with brass lamps and a kalasha-like vessel before it. Yellow marigold garlands hang along the stone platform, petals are scattered on the floor, and red curtains frame the sanctum. A dark wooden door and a small framed notice are visible at left.

On the left, a deity murti in blue and gold with a marigold garland and an oil lamp on the altar, plus a bowl of flowers and leaves offered before it. A woman in orange robes with long dark hair stands barefoot with palms pressed together in prayer. Oil lamps and a lit wick glow beside the shrine.

Evening aarti at a temple shrine under a corrugated roof, with strings of coloured fairy lights along the arch. A gold-framed niche holds a deity murti decorated with garlands, lit by oil lamps. Three men in white dhotis and orange shawls stand with lamps and bells: one at left with a raised lamp, one in an orange robe in the centre swinging a lamp, and one at right holding a flame. A woman in a red top sits at left and devotees in orange shawls are seated in the foreground. Blue curtains hang at the sides and a red-and-white striped mat covers the platform.

A photograph of a temple shrine decorated with orange cloth hangings and banana leaves. In the centre, a deity murti with a crown and marigold garlands is set in a golden arch framed with flowers. Four people in orange and saffron robes stand in front of the shrine: a bearded man on the left, a young attendant holding a small vessel, and a woman in orange reaching toward the deity's pedestal. Brass oil lamps stand on either side and a small white stone figure sits on the platform.

Outdoor temple shrine during a ritual. A standing figure in saffron-orange robes with a long garland of white and orange flowers and a yellow headband holds a lit oil lamp (aarti) before an arched gold shrine. Inside, a pair of deity murtis in pink and purple garments sit on a raised dais with yellow and red flower garlands. A seated devotee in orange cloth sits to the left, and brass lamps, a kalasha and flower offerings stand on the platform. Blue and silver tinsel decorates the pillars. The figure's long hair and orange robes with garland are cues, but the face is not used; identity is uncertain.

A photograph of a temple shrine during worship. A large deity murti in a golden arched niche is draped with marigold garlands and red and orange flowers, and it sits on a white and red decorated pedestal. Several men in saffron-orange robes stand at the granite platform in front, one holding a lamp toward the deity and another tending offerings on silver trays with flowers. A man in a yellow shawl and white clothes stands at left beside a fellow in orange holding a long staff. Red curtains frame the open pavilion, and white plants and flowers decorate its edges. The scene looks like a puja or aarti in progress.
