A man with long, swept-back hair wears an orange saffron wrap and a gold-beaded rudraksha-style mala, gesturing with one hand as he speaks. Around him stand about eight men: several in white dhotis and kurtas, one in a plaid shirt and dark trousers, one in white shirt with glasses and a red cord, and one in white shirt with a gold wristwatch on the right. On the left, a figure with long dark hair in a saffron/orange robe sits on a folding chair facing the group, with bare feet and a saffron shawl; this is an appearance-based Swamiji (probable) candidate in a teaching role. Around him, roughly a dozen devotees sit cross-legged or kneel in white dhotis and white kurtas or saris, many wearing saffron shawls and white beaded necklaces. A woman in a white sari and another in a saffron shawl sit at right, and a person in white stands at the far left edge. An orange woven basket sits on the grass in the foreground. The scene suggests a satsang or evening discourse held outdoors.2008-11-13A photograph of an outdoor gathering on grassy ground in front of a wooded hill under an overcast sky. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a long beard wears a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala around his neck, and stands with his hands raised in a gesture. Around him stand about a dozen men in white dhotis and white shirts, several with orange shawls draped over their shoulders, some with shaved heads. Palm trees stand at the left edge. A small person lies on the ground in the lower centre. The scene suggests a field ritual or blessing at the hill site. Appearance cues including long hair, orange robe and rudraksha mala fit the page's reference, so the central figure is described as a probable Swamiji.2008-04-01November 13 20052005-11-13
