A large framed image on the wall shows a deity figure with a glowing halo beside a sage-like figure. In front, a seated life-size figure in an ornate gold throne with a red cushion wears an orange-red turban, a long garland, multiple rudraksha malas, gold ornaments and an orange-red shawl; this is a depiction, a statue or portrait rather than a living person. At lower left, a bare-chested man with a shaved head and white sacred markings, wearing a rudraksha mala, presses his palms together in prayer. Golden trident-shaped standards, a brass kalasha-style offering bowl and small oil lamps stand on the floor.2022-08-26 +1 copiesA shaved-headed? No—a bearded sannyasi with long dreadlocked hair wrapped in rudraksha beads sits cross-legged on a wooden platform, bare-chested and wearing saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha mala across his shoulder, touching his nose with one finger. Before him is a ritual arrangement with brass vessels, a kalasha wrapped in orange flowers and green leaves, bowls of flower petals, red roses, a plate with a lit oil lamp, and silver lamp stands with flames. Behind him stands a large framed portrait labelled "Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam" of a smiling bearded figure in a red-orange turban and garland of red, yellow and green flowers, seated on a red cushioned golden throne with ornate gilded carvings.
