A seated man in saffron robes sits cross-legged on a low wooden platform outdoors, reaching toward a small brass vessel with a handle at his left. He wears a wooden rudraksha mala around his neck and a red bindi on his forehead. Behind him, a white-clad man in a yellow shawl sits with hands clasped beside an orange-wrapped staff, and another man in white with an orange shawl sits at the right edge, holding a cane. White stupa-like structure with marigold garlands hangs at the upper left, and grey gravel covers the ground.2010-07-14September 14 20092009-09-14A procession in a temple courtyard. Several men in saffron-orange robes walk in a line. The foreground figure wears a long garland of white, yellow, red and purple flowers over an orange cloth and holds a folded orange cloth. Two men on the right carry tall golden staffs topped with ornaments, one wearing a gold-beaded rudraksha mala and a pendant. A decorated umbrella with a blue and green design appears behind them. Beside him a younger person in orange robes holds the lower part of the rope near a white altar draped in a gold-patterned cloth, with a brass lamp, a bowl, a kalasha-like vessel and scattered petals on it. A cameraman in white with an orange stole films at the left, a woman in an orange sari and a man in white shirt and dark trousers with folded hands stand at the right beside white carved pillars, and other attendees watch in the background among green foliage. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ceremony at a temple courtyard.2009-09-14Outdoor photograph beneath tall palm trees. A man with long dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha mala and a draped saffron-orange robe with a gold-bordered edge stands on a raised stone platform, holding a long orange cord that hangs down.
