Long rows of women in orange saris sit cross-legged on a white marble floor with palms pressed together in anjali, some with eyes closed. Several wear rudraksha malas and bangles. In front of them lie long lines of banana leaves set with rice, yellow sweets, curds and brass tumblers and bowls, as for a communal meal or annadan.2018-01-08A long row of women in orange saffron robes sits cross-legged on mats along a white tiled hall, many with palms pressed together in namaskar. The foreground woman, with hair in a bun and a rudraksha mala around her neck, keeps her eyes closed. Before the row are brass and steel cups and banana leaves heaped with food. Blurred figures in the background and the distant crowd suggest a large gathering.2018-01-08January 08 20182018-01-08January 08 20182018-01-08January 08 20182018-01-08Rows of women seated on the floor in a temple hall, dressed in orange-red saris with rudraksha malas around their necks, sitting before leaf plates of food and small steel cups. Several have their hands pressed in anjali or raised in prayer. A shrine with golden deity murti and ornate gold decor stands at the left, and a golden throne-like seat with a kalasha-style decoration is at the back. Others on the right are dressed in white. Many people are visible across the long hall, consistent with a large annadan or ritual meal.2017-09-11January 07 20192019-01-07 +1 copiesPhotograph of a long row of women seated on the floor in saffron-orange saris with maroon borders and rudraksha malas, hands pressed in anjali mudra with eyes closed, in front of a long line of banana-leaf plates piled with fruit, rice, sweets and curries, with water bottles along the edge. Behind them, more seated people in white and orange clothing fill a bright hall with golden decor. Several women wear bindi, bangles and forehead tilak. The scene suggests a communal annadan meal offered in devotion.2016-09-30 +1 copiesJanuary 08 20182018-01-08November 19 20182018-11-19May 20 20132013-05-20 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20192019-01-01 +1 copies
