Close-up photo of a ritual lingam or shivalinga being decorated with flowers in a temple setting. A man in a white dhoti and a red-brown beaded bracelet reaches toward a golden-toned lingam set on a silver-rimmed tray heaped with red roses, yellow roses, white flowers and green leaves. A bare-footed figure stands on a red floor at the left, and a person in a leopard-print and tiger-striped shawl sits at the right edge. The lingam and tray rest on a silver pedestal. No face is visible of the men shown, and no one is clearly identifiable as a person.2019-04-07May 31 20182018-05-31A photo of a worship moment: a hand in a white dhoti with a yellow-and-blue border sprinkles red flower petals over a gilded bronze deity murti seated on a lotus-style base, adorned with yellow marigold and red rose garlands. A second hand holds a brass plate of red petals above. The metal base and surrounding ritual items are polished silver. The figure is a statue, not a physical person, and no one else is clearly visible.2018-03-02February 16 20162016-02-16 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a seated figure's torso and hand draped with long garlands of white, yellow, red and pink flowers, with green leaves between them. The figure wears a rust-orange robe. A hand rests on a leopard-print cushion beside an ornate silver throne armrest with carved lion-head finials. Background shows a purple-lit stage. Only a portion of one person is visible.2018-02-13Close-up photo of a person's folded hands resting on their chest, wearing a red thread bracelet on the wrist and a gold ring on a finger. Around the neck are pink flower garlands with white jasmine-like buds and heavy gold ornaments with rudraksha beads. Only hands, arms and garlanded chest are visible; the face is not shown, so the individual's identity cannot be established from this frame. The background is softly blurred.2018-05-31 +1 copiesDecember 14 20162016-12-14May 27 20132013-05-27December 14 20162016-12-14A seated ritual scene before a floral backdrop of white, yellow, orange and red flowers. A man with a white tilak on his forehead, wearing a rust-brown wrap and a garland of white and red flowers with orange marigolds, sits on a red zebra-striped cushion and pours or offers from a striped blue, white and red vessel held by a bare-chested assistant with a red-beaded necklace and topknot. Beside them stands a golden lion-headed figure and a silver ceremonial umbrella with fringed embroidery. Scattered petals lie on the seat.2015-07-16A photograph inside a temple sanctum during a ritual. A man in a rust-red turban with a gold crown ornament, long dark hair, gold armlets and a rust-coloured dhoti and shawl stands at right, arranging a long garland of yellow, red and white marigold-style flowers draped over a gold-coloured deity murti. Behind him stands a second person in rust-orange clothing with long hair. The gold deity figure has raised hands and wears a rich garland, with a gold kalasha-like vessel and a lit oil lamp at right. The room has warm lighting and wooden architecture. The page's flag note does not establish identity; the man's presentation is only partly visible, with a turban and gold ornaments rather than distinctive long swept hair, rudraksha or saffron-only dress, so the appearance is uncertain.2016-12-14April 03 20132013-04-03
