A seated child in orange robes and a rudraksha mala has a black blindfold over the eyes while two adults in white kneel beside them on a patterned red rug. The man on the left wears white dhoti-style cloth, rudraksha beads, bangles and a gold bracelet, and holds a colourful open picture book. The woman in the centre wears a white sari and rudraksha mala and is smiling as she points toward the book. A standing figure in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at right with arms folded. Behind them hang red and gold drapes and ornate gold and jewelled garlands.

A photograph of a blindfold demonstration at a Kumbh Mela camp. A figure in a bright orange turban, orange robe and layered rudraksha malas and gold pendant stands to the right, reaching to touch the forehead of a young woman in a white garment with a black blindfold and a tilak marked on her brow; she wears an orange-beaded mala and a small pendant. At the left, an older bearded man in an orange shirt sits with a pen in his pocket, and a man in an orange robe with a gold-beaded mala holds a microphone at the upper right. Marigold garlands rest in the foreground. The orange figure matches the probable Swamiji cues of orange turban, rudraksha malas and ornate gold, so the candidate is.

Two children in orange robes sit side by side wearing black blindfolds over their eyes, with rudraksha-style beaded malas around their necks. A standing adult in white reaches toward them, and an older woman in a white top with a brown shawl stands behind. Behind them is a gold-leafed ornate throne or pedestal with red cushioned seats. A child in a yellow striped top stands at left. The scene suggests a ritual or training exercise in a temple-like hall.

Outdoor initiation-style ceremony at dusk. A seated figure on the right wears an orange-red turban, a long red and blue coral-bead garland, gold-bordered orange and red shawl, and touches the forehead of a blindfolded boy in an orange cloth with a rudraksha mala. On the left, a bare-chested man in white dhoti with gold border and a long rudraksha mala holds the boy's shoulder. Behind them, devotees in orange and red robes, some with white bandages on their arms, stand near a striped canopy and a brass vessel. The seated figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.
