January 03 20122012-01-03A photograph of a relief visit in a coastal village after a storm. Under a bright blue sky and tall coconut palms, a woman in an orange saffron wrap with a rudraksha mala stands at centre, with her hands near a man's head. A man on the left in an orange wrap and rudraksha beads presses his palms together in greeting. Other men in white shirts and white dhotis, and a bearded man on the right, stand among them. Behind them, a damaged thatched hut and piled debris, with a man in white dhoti standing on the thatch roof. The scene shows devotees and volunteers in cyclone relief work.2012-01-03January 03 20122012-01-03November 24 20062006-11-24March 17 20182018-03-17Outdoor photograph on a dry, reddish-brown earth path with sparse grass and a bright sky behind. A tall man with long dark hair and a heavy rudraksha mala stands in a long orange robe with gold edging and bare feet, a probable Swamiji by his long swept hair, orange ornate robe and rudraksha cues. Beside him a younger shaven-headed man wears a saffron-orange robe and holds a small item. Around them a crowd of about twenty men and women in shirts, dhotis and white clothes stand and walk; a woman in a pink and yellow sari stands at left. In the foreground a man in a blue shirt and grey trousers faces the group with his back to the camera.2008-08-01March 17 20182018-03-17March 17 20182018-03-17Outdoor photo on a dirt ground at an open site with palm trees and a red metal frame behind. A group of sannyasis in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas walks forward, several barefoot. Men in white dhoti and shirts walk among and beside them, and some stand with hands folded in greeting at right. A few figures wear white or cream shawls, and a man at left wears a plain orange cloth. Overcast pale sky above. Some attendees appear to be wearing identification badges.2009-12-30A photograph of a group of saffron-robed sannyasis wading into surf at the seashore near a temple. In the centre, a bearded man in a rust-red dhoti and wrap, with long swept-back hair and many rudraksha malas, raises one hand while a sannyasi beside him holds a tall golden staff with a finial. Other men wear orange-saffron cloths, white dhotis with gold borders, and white shirts with gold-threaded shawls; one shirtless man at left wears a purple-striped cloth. Behind them stands a gopuram of a temple tower and a second shrine with spires, with onlookers on the rocks at right. The ocean water foams around their legs. The group appears to be taking a holy bath in the sea before visiting a temple.2018-03-17March 17 20182018-03-17Photograph of a group of men wading through shallow surf on a sandy beach at Tiruchendur, with a temple gopuram visible in the background. In the centre, a bearded man with long dark hair wears a rust-red cloth and a rudraksha mala, and gestures with his right hand while speaking. Beside him, a man in saffron-orange robes and a beaded mala holds a tall golden staff with a finial. Other men wear white dhotis with gold borders, white shawls, and head cloths, some with rudraksha malas. Onlookers stand on rocks and a raised area at the right, and a red flag flies near the rocks. The scene suggests a devotee group after a sea bath before visiting the shrine.2018-03-17
