Four people stand in the shaded area beneath the branches: a woman in white with an orange skirt and a shoulder bag, a woman in white trousers with her back turned, a person in white at the far left, and a man in a light shirt and yellow trousers standing among the roots. The ground is reddish-brown earth with a low stone-edged platform in the foreground.

Around 15 people stand and sit beneath and around the trunk, several in white shirts, one in a white dhoti sitting on a white ledge at left, and women in red and pale salwars. Circular raised stone platforms surround several trunks, and a few people walk among them on the reddish earth. A photograph of devotees gathered beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and spreading branches. The ground is bare red-brown earth with circular raised stone platforms around the trunk. A woman in a orange-and-gold sari stands near the center. Several people in white ritual clothes and white dhotis work at the base of the tree, one man in a white shirt carrying a camera, and a woman in a white sari kneels beside a small tool. Others in dark and patterned clothing stand nearby. The scene appears to be an outdoor ashram tree-tending or ground-preparation activity. No identifiable a person figure is visible.

A photograph under a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and spreading branches. In the left foreground a line of devotees in orange and saffron garments, some in orange saris, walks along a dirt path, while a man in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala stands at the front. A monk in orange robes stands near a wooden post, and a few people in red and maroon clothes are nearby. On the right, a figure in orange sits under the tree near a seated woman in white and green, with a small deity shrine and metal railings beyond. Dirt ground, green shrubs, and cables are visible in the foreground.

A large banyan tree dominates the frame, with thick spreading branches, dense green leaves and many hanging aerial roots forming multiple trunks. Beneath it, a raised stone platform surrounds the base. Several people in white clothing and orange or saffron garments stand and sit around the tree; one figure in white leans forward near the platform, and others in orange and white move among the roots. No one is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, and the scene reads as a sacred tree setting with devotees gathered near it.

Stone boulders lie at the lower right. Nearby visible people appear to be attendants in white and saffron garments.
